Rob thank you again for sharing your journey with us!

So tell us, how long have you been practicing Bikram?

I’ve been practicing for 5 years.

OK nice!  What got you into the practice?

I began Bikram Yoga to reduce symptoms from past ice hockey injuries and to improve my general health and wellness.

With over 5 years of practice and making the decision to improve your overall health, what have you received from your practice?

I have received improved strength, flexibility, endurance and increased mindfulness, presence, and awareness.

You have received so many great benefits!  What is your favorite posture?

My favorite posture happens to be the pose that’s toughest for me, Eagle (Garudasana) and someday I’ll nail it!

I’m sure you are nailing it right now!  A fun fact about you that most people don’t know.

I eat a vegan diet.

Nice…a healthy diet is so very important to your overall health as well.  As a chiropractor, do you feel as though yoga is important for spine health?

So, I believe that yoga is an important part of our general health and wellness. There’s so many physical, mental and spiritual benefits to a regular practice.

Yoga is as important to our bones, joints and muscles as eating fruits and vegetables are to our immune system and heart.

and because Bikram Yoga is performed in a hot room, it  helps to increase blood circulation to our spine and decompresses the spinal joints and this help’s to prevent and retard skeletal arthritis and other unwanted conditions in our bodies!

Rob, thank you again, we enjoyed your insight and we appreciate you!

We love to share your stories.  It’s so important and does so much service to you as well as to others.    THANK YOU for sharing your journey with us on how a committed practice has and continues to improve your health and wellness!   If you are a current member and  interested in sharing your story, we would love to hear from you.  Please send us an email at info@bikramyogaworks.com and until then …see you on the mat!
